Manchmal ist verlinken besser als selbst schreiben. Die unregelmäßige Serie “Werbe-Blog” soll besonders Lesens-/Sehens-/Hörenswertes präsentieren.
Heute: ein besonderes vlog (Videoblog). Der Untertitel von Jay Smooths “ill Doctrine: a hip-hop video blog” lässt Uneingeweihte nicht sofort darauf schließen, dass hier ausgesprochen kluge, witzige und auch emotionale Kommentare zu sehen und zu hören sind. Manchmal geht es dabei um Hiphop, aber bei weitem nicht nur. Ich bin auf Jay Smooth während des US-Wahlkampfs aufmerksam geworden – durch sein Video “A Poem for the Young Voter”. Eines meiner Lieblingsvideos folgt nach dem Seitenumbruch: “How To Tell Someone They Sound Racist”.
Auch die Hip-Hop-Videos setzen sich oft mit Themen wie Homophobie (z.B. hier und hier), Gewalt, Rassismus und Grenzen des Humors auseinander. Zwei Zitate dazu:
